Alpha
Alpha is an open and informal conversation about life, spirituality, and the person of Jesus without judgement or pressure. We want to hear your thoughts and questions as we explore these themes together without the pressured atmosphere that usually comes with these conversations. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring faith, typically run over nine weeks. Each talk looks at a different question and is designed to create conversation. Everyone is welcome.

Cultural Connect Dinner

Easter Sunday

Good Friday
Good Friday is the day we remember the crucifixion of Jesus, and we reflect on Jesus bearing the weight of our sin through suffering and perfect love. Gather with us as we worship and reflect on the cross.

Basics
Living life in Community is the heartbeat behind everything we do at Bridgetown Church. Whether you are brand new to Bridgetown or have been around for a while, you are invited to register and attend Basics as you consider joining a Bridgetown Community in the part of the city where you live.

Writing Workshop with Jesse Peterson
An interactive writing workshop by Dr. Jesse Peterson, Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at George Fox University, hosted by the creative team. Prayer Workshop with David Thomas
If you're in a Bridgetown Community, please gather with us for a special prayer workshop with guest teacher David Thomas. David was one of the leaders who helped steward the Asbury outpouring in 2023. He has studied prayer patterns preceding the most impactful spiritual awakenings in American history and is an expert in travailing prayer.

Bridgetown Music Auditions
If you are interested in serving in worship at Bridgetown, you are invited to audition. Hosted three times a year, the next auditions will take place in February. There are several ways to get involved, from playing an instrument on Sundays, to serving as part of our quarterly worship choir, to playing an auxiliary instrument (cello, violin, saxophone, percussion, etc.) for special events. Practicing the Way: Scripture
Gather with us for a 4 week discipleship course on Scripture. We aim to be a community of courageous fidelity to orthodoxy in a culture of ideological compromise, through the practice of Scripture. In all of its complexity, engaging Scriptures (reading the Bible) is a vital, core practice for the follower of Jesus. Reading and meditating on the Scripture shapes us: it helps us to learn and recognize our shepherd’s voice, it shapes the way we see and interact with the world around us, and it unites us with the global, historic church.

The Familiar Stranger Book Launch Celebration

We encourage you to check in early for the Holy Spirit Conference. No Place to Grow Old Screening & Panel
In partnership with Humans for Housing, Central City Concern, CityTeam, and Clean Bar, we invite you to a special screening of No Place to Grow Old, a compelling documentary that sheds light on Portland's fastest-growing homeless population: individuals aged 55 and older. This 44-minute film, created by Humans for Housing, shares deeply personal stories and explores the systemic challenges of aging into homelessness. Our desire is that this would allow our church family a space for rest and and an opportunity to connect relationally with those around you during the busyness of the holiday season. Basics
Community is the primary place where we practice the way of Jesus together in Portland. Young Adults Winter Retreat
Bridgetown Young Adults are invited to attend our Winter Retreat at the coast as we reestablish rhythms in 2025. The purpose of this retreat is to explore the intersection of spiritual gifting and being a young adult and how it serves the call to be formed for the sake of others, our city, and the church. We'll have a full weekend of input from different speakers and time for quiet, reflection as well as discussion with your peers. It will also be a time to grow deeper in relationship with one another and an opportunity to refocus our discipleship to Jesus at the start of a new year.

Baptism Class
If you are a follower of Jesus and have yet to enter the waters of baptism, we encourage you to take that step. The Baptism Class provides an opportunity to talk through the new identity, new family, and new mission that we have in Jesus. It also provides a great space to answer any questions you might have as you take this important step. For kids interested in baptism, we'll offer a 30 minute class (1:30-2 PM) designed for kids age 5-12 and their parents. This role will oversee vision and direction, local & global partnerships, and church engagement in the area of justice and mercy at Bridgetown Church. Bridgetown Artist Showcase
All are invited to attend the first annual Bridgetown Church Artist Showcase, which will center on the theme of Jubilee. Hiring Kids Elementary Assistant
We are hiring for a part-time Kids Elementary Assistant.
