Sunday Gatherings

Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. We also gather in similar age groups and stages of life to grow together.

More about Gathering

Bridgetown Communities

Communities are the way we gather during the week around the bread and cup to be the people of Jesus in our city. In communities, we are practicing the way of Jesus, together, in Portland and we invite you to start or join a community in your neighborhood of the city.

  • Baptism Class

If you are a follower of Jesus and have yet to enter the waters of baptism, we encourage you to take that step. The Baptism Class provides an opportunity to talk through the new identity, new family, and new mission that we have in Jesus. It also provides a great space to answer any questions you might have as you take this important step. Baptisms will take place on Oct 2 at all three gatherings.

Location: Bridgetown Church (2120 NE Tillamook St, Portland, OR 97212)

  • Alpha: A Conversation About Faith

Bridgetown is hosting Alpha, an open and informal conversation about life, spirituality, and the person of Jesus without judgement or pressure. We want to hear your thoughts and questions as we explore these themes together without the pressured atmosphere that usually comes with these conversations. Everyone is welcome.

  • Prayer Workshop & Book Launch

Prayer is, without a doubt, the source of Jesus’ most astounding promises. And yet, most people find little life in prayer. In Tyler Staton’s new book, Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools, we encounter the wonder and mystery of prayer in everyday life. To celebrate the release of Tyler’s new book, gather with us for a discussion on prayer followed by a Q&R.

    Dates: Oct 4

    Time: 6:30 - 8 PM

Location: Bridgetown Church (2120 NE Tillamook St, Portland, OR 97212)

  • Worship Choir & Auxiliary Instruments

Throughout the year Bridgetown will have a choir to help lead worship in the Sunday Gatherings. Our hope is to utilize the Bridgetown choir quarterly. We also are looking for people who play auxiliary instruments (strings, horns, brass, etc.) to play at special events such as Advent. Learn more and register to audition.

  • Spiritual Formation Basics

Spiritual Formation Basics is a nine-week course that discusses the practices of Jesus and his invitation to be disciples. In this course we will explore the nine key spiritual disciplines, as well as what it means to abide in Jesus, transform our lives, and carry out his Kingdom vision for the world. We recommend attending Bridgetown Basics as an introduction to this course. Register to attend.
