Sunday Gatherings

Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. We also gather in similar age groups and stages of life to grow together.

More about Gathering

Bridgetown Communities

Communities are the way we gather during the week around the bread and cup to be the people of Jesus in our city. In communities, we are practicing the way of Jesus, together, in Portland and we invite you to start or join a community in your neighborhood of the city.

Upcoming Events

  • Build an Activity Box for a Foster Family

In light of COVID-19, we were sad to have to cancel Foster Parents’ Night Out (FPNO) for the rest of the year—an event that is usually a treasured time of respite for busy and tired parents. To show those families love, care, and that they are not forgotten, we are building them “FPNO in a Box”! Together with your Community, sign up to build a box full of fun projects and items for kids and adults. Sign up for a family to make a box for, then drop off your box at Bridgetown on July 15th.

    Dates: Weds, July 15

    Cost: $75–125 per box

    Time: 10 AM – 12 PM

Location: Bridgetown Church parking lot (off Tillamook)

  • Donate Your Kitchen Items

As you simplify your kitchen, drop off your basic kitchen items with us! Items donated will go to Central City Concern, who help love our neighbors impacted by houselessness, poverty, and addiction, helping them into safe housing. Please reference donation list below for accepted items.

    Dates: Sat, July 18

    Time: 11 AM – 2 PM

Location: Bridgetown Parking Lot (off Tillamook)

  • Bridgetown & Racial Justice Resources

In Jesus we see a God who experiences anger at the evil in our world, who establishes justice and righteousness, and who works on behalf of the oppressed. We also see in Jesus a God who listens intently, grieves deeply, and weeps. As apprentices of Jesus, we aim to follow his example. Discover ways to listen, learn, and give to our Black and Brown brothers and sisters as we go on the journey of racial reconciliation and healing.

As Oregon enters Phase I of reopening, we are excited to begin making plans for Bridgetown Communities to meet in person once again. We wish to offer recommendations reflecting value for wisdom, unity, and embodied presence. Download the guide for recommendations, guidelines, discussion questions, and more.

  • Sunday Gatherings Online

Bridgetown Church is committed to bringing the people of Jesus together. Since we are unable to meet together in person, we want to spend time with you online. We are introducing “Bridgetown Online,” a Sunday gathering experience with worship, teaching, and live prayer. Watch with us every Sunday.
