Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. We also gather in similar age groups and stages of life to grow together.

Communities are the primary way that we gather during the week around the bread and cup to be the people of Jesus in our city. In communities, we are practicing the way of Jesus, together, in Portland and we invite you to start or join a community in your neighborhood of the city.

  • Alpha Masterclass with Ger Jones

    Pastors and church leaders, do you want to make the most of your Alpha course? Do you long for the hospitality and culture of Alpha to spread through the rest of the Church? Ger Jones will share what he has learned over the past seven years at Vintage Church. Appetizers & dessert included.

  • Bridgetown Basics

    What does Bridgetown believe? Why is community important? Basics is a three-part course designed to introduce you to the Bridgetown story, vision, and our model for Communities. It includes one Sunday in-class session and two Wednesday evening Bridgetown Community training groups. By the end of the course, you will be placed into a new or existing Bridgetown Community.

  • PDX Casino Night for Embrace Oregon

    PDX Casino Night exists to support Embrace Oregon, an organization for vulnerable children and families. Come for a fun evening of games, hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and an auction to raise funds for Foster Family Support. Wear your cocktail attire and invite your friends.

  • Baptism Class

    If you are a follower of Jesus and have yet to enter the waters of baptism, we encourage you to take that step. Register now for an upcoming baptism class which provides an opportunity to talk through the new identity, new family, and new mission that we have in Jesus.

  • Alpha: A Dialogue About Faith

    Bridgetown Church is hosting Alpha, an open and informal dialogue about existence, the person of Jesus, and what it all means. We want to hear your thoughts and questions as we explore these themes together without the pressured atmosphere that usually comes with these conversations.

  • Young Adults Fall Retreat

    Bridgetown Young Adults will be going to Government Camp, OR for this year’s fall retreat. We will spend time hanging out together, create space to hear from the Spirit, and enjoy the beautiful mountains. There are only 18 spots available, so register soon.

  • Bridgetown Community Leader Training

    Learn what it means to lead a Bridgetown Community. In this three-week course, you will see if Community leadership is a good fit for you, and receive the training necessary prior to Bridgetown Basics. Attendance is not a guarantee or a commitment to becoming a leader.

  • The Prayer Course

    This fall, we will be hosting The Prayer Course, an 8 week study walking through the Lord’s Prayer. Each week, we will watch a short video and engage with the material in a small group discussion format. Come learn why and how to pray.

  • Serve: Prayer Team

    Prayer is central to life with Bridgetown Church and we are looking to grow our Prayer Team. As apprentices of Jesus, we want to help people hear the voice of the Spirit in their life through prayer. At the end of every Sunday gathering, we invite people forward for prayer. It is an incredible place to listen with them and hear God’s gentle, kind voice.

  • Wednesday Afternoon Prayer

    Starting Oct 2, we are excited to announce Wednesday Afternoon Prayer. We feel the call to be a church that prays continually. So we are creating spaces for followers of Jesus to pray and worship together. Gather with us on Wednesday at noon to pray and listen to the Spirit speak.

  • Second Thursday Worship Night

    When we gather to worship and pray together, we lift up the name of Jesus over every situation, concern, relationship, and issue that we face. Gather with us every second Thursday to worship, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit.

  • Tuesday Morning Prayer

    We want to be a church that prays continually. So we are creating space for followers of Jesus to gather at the beginning of the day to worship and pray together. Gather with us on Tuesday mornings as we listen to the Spirit speak.

  • Bridgetown Building Campaign

    After a season of prayer and discernment, we have made the nearly unanimous decision to buy Holladay Park Church of God. We’re asking every person who calls Bridgetown Church home to participate in this giving campaign. Whether you have a lot or a little to give, we’re all in this story together.
