Sunday Gatherings

Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. We also gather in similar age groups and stages of life to grow together.

Bridgetown Communities

Communities are the way we gather during the week around the bread and cup to be the people of Jesus in our city. In communities, we are practicing the way of Jesus, together, in Portland and we invite you to start or join a community in your neighborhood of the city.

The average age of entry into this industry is 13, often due to lack of resources, safe and supportive networks, and/or other viable options. Self-care backpacks are a great way to help restore dignity and remind individuals of their worth. Bridgetown Church would like to collect 100 of these backpacks to distribute to various organizations in our city. Visit our justice page for more information on assembly guidelines.

  • 31 Days of Prayer

We are taking the month of January to focus on prayer. We believe that prayer changes reality. The starting point for all significant works of God is prayer. It is here that we have an opportunity to interact with the Spirit of God and participate in the work of bringing redemption to our city and healing into our lives. We will be offering a daily prayer card, an all night prayer event on New Year’s Eve, a teaching series on prayer, practice classes on prayer, and continuing our rhythms of noon intercessory prayer and morning worship.

    Dates: Jan 1 - 31

  • Practice Classes

Whether you are new to the Practices or are simply wanting to learn more, we want to invite you to a 5-week class on one of the following Practices: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, Prayer, or Fasting. • Bible Reading Plan

One of the most important ways that followers of Jesus hear from God is through the reading of Scripture. We’ve created a Bible reading plan that takes you through the entire Bible in a year, with an option to read through the New Testament and Psalms in a year. Both plans include short, animated videos from The Bible Project. We invite you to follow along with us this coming new year!
