Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. We also gather in similar age groups and stages of life to grow together.

Communities are the primary way that we gather during the week around the bread and cup to be the people of Jesus in our city. In communities, we are practicing the way of Jesus, together, in Portland and we invite you to start or join a community in your neighborhood of the city.

  • Commitment Sunday: Building Campaign

    We’re asking for every person who is a part of the Bridgetown Family to give in some way. Please go before God with this campaign, pray about what he would lead you to give, and then fill out a commitment card so we can plan accordingly. Then submit that Commitment Card at any Sunday gathering on Nov 18.

  • God & Women

    A five-week study on womanhood and what it means to live faithfully as women in the kingdom of God. Connect with other women and together we will work through our calling as women and address the current cultrual narrative around womanhood.

    Dates: Every other Monday, Oct 1 – Nov 26

  • Women & Justice

    Violence against women and young girls is present in every single culture and country. Gather with us as we learn about God’s original design for humanity and pray to end violence against women. This lecture will be in place our 7 PM gathering. Be sure to attend the 10 AM or 5 PM for our regular Sunday gathering.

  • Faithful Friends

    Faithful Friends is a faith-based mentoring program for kids in our city between the ages of 6 and 9. These kids have been identified by either their school’s counselor, social worker, or their own parent as in need of a additional support from a caring adult. Adults are matched with a child for a one-year long mentoring relationship. Attend an upcoming Faithful Friends information meeting and learn how you or your community can get involved as a mentor to a child.

  • Dec 9: Sunday Gathering Changes

    Sunday, Dec 9, we will be moving our regular gathering times and evening location. Several times a year, First Baptist Church holds an event on Sunday evenings and their building becomes unavailable. So all gatherings will be held at Old Laurelhurst Church. Bridgetown Kids available at 9 AM and 11 AM.

  • Christmas Sunday

    Gather with us this Christmas Sunday as we sing together by candlelight and hear the story of Jesus. There will be no 7 PM gathering. Bridgetown Kids will be available for kids Ages 0 – Grade 5. These gatherings will be identical to the Christmas Eve gathering.

  • Christmas Eve

    Gather with us this Christmas Eve as we sing together by candlelight and hear the story of Jesus. Bridgetown Kids & Middle School will not be available during the evening gathering. This gathering will be identical to the Christmas Sunday gatherings.

  • Young Adults: Haiti Trip

    This spring our Bridgetown Young Adults will be traveling to Jacmel where they will work alongside Haitians to help with various projects such as building homes, playgrounds, painting, and other community needs. The afternoons are often spent helping with a local feeding program, playing with the children, and offering a week of fun with Vacation Bible School.

  • Second Thursday Worship Nights

    When we gather to worship and pray together, we lift up the name of Jesus over every situation, concern, relationship, and issue that we face. Gather with us every second Thursday to worship, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit.
