Bridgetown Recovery Community
Who we are
We believe the continual journey of recovery from substance is best done in community, out of the trap of isolation and shame. Our aim for BRC is to bring together those in recovery who call Bridgetown home. To be freely who we are, known and loved by a family and Jesus. It’s a massive joy in our lives to break bread monthly, hear each other’s stories, and unify in contending prayer for our sobriety and the Kingdom to come in Portland. If you have a desire to stop drinking or using drugs— whether 10 years or 1 hour— you are so welcome here. If you are considering coming for the first time and want to know more, we’d love to connect. Shame and isolation are not the tools of Jesus, but grace and friendship are freely given.

Monthly Gatherings
The Bridgetown Recovery Community holds a gathering on the second Friday monthly to join together for a meal, listen to a speaker, and reflect in prayer. We are dedicated to providing support, connection, and encouragement to those within our church family who are on a journey of recovery from substances. If you are in recovery or have a desire to stop drinking or using drugs please register to attend.

Is the Bridgetown Recovery Community for me?
The BRC exists for anyone who would like to change their relationship to substances and invite Jesus and community into the process of quitting drinking or using drugs.
What can I expect?
At our monthly Bridgetown Recovery Community gatherings, we begin the night by sharing a meal together. We then get to hear from a different speaker each week about their recovery journey and how Jesus has met them in their story. As a group, we also lean into prayer, friendship, and a shared value of sobriety.
