Join the life of Bridgetown Church

The journey of discipleship is not linear, it’s cyclical. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to following Jesus. This pathway is simply a way of finding yourself within this house we call Bridgetown Church and an invitation to move deeper into our family. Move at your pace, in the way that matches your journey, and in the timing that fits your limits. You are welcome here.

  • Sunday Gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. It is in these moments together that we collectively embody Jesus and his kingdom.

    Gather on Sunday

  • Outside of Sunday Gatherings, we want to provide extra spaces of deeper learning. Gather with us for one of our midweek lectures to listen to teachings about Scripture, justice, and more.

  • Conferences are a concentrated expression of learning and encounter. The next conference is our Holy Spirit Conference 2024, happening Jan 26-27. Learn more and register.

    Holy Spirit Conference

  • Gather with us for an evening of worship and encounter with God.

  • The kingdom of heaven is described as a wedding feast, where all are invited to eat at the table together as brothers and sisters. We are hosting a meal for our neighbors downtown, to feed guests both spiritually and physically. There are multiple ways to get involved, from inviting guests, serving dinner, to sharing a meal with guests. Register to serve.
    The Feast

  • Welcome to Bridgetown is a one-week course that introduces you to the Bridgetown story, what we believe, and our rhythms of life as a church family. We would love to meet you and help you get connected into life with Bridgetown.

Look forward to this course every fourth Sunday of the month.

  • Do you have questions and doubts about faith? Alpha is an open and informal conversation about life, spirituality, and the person of Jesus without judgement or pressure. We would love to hear your thoughts and questions as we explore these themes together without the pressured atmosphere that usually comes with these conversations.

    Try Alpha

  • To “practice the way of Jesus” is to adopt the lifestyle of Jesus, to put his teachings into practice in all aspects of your life. As we live this way, we are transformed from the inside out.

    FOLLOW JESUS

  • Community Basics is a two-week course and training that introduces you to the framework for life in a Bridgetown Community. In this course we will discuss a vision for how to share life together in our city and place you into a small group of people who live in your neighborhood.

  • Bridgetown Communities are the way we gather during the week around the table to be the people of Jesus in our city. We eat together, pray for one another, and share life together. It is in these ordinary rhythms of life that we become more like Jesus. Each Bridgetown Community is neighborhood-based. As we live and work in proximity to each other, we are able to partner in the mission of God to see his Kingdom come in Portland as it is in heaven.

    LIVE IN COMMUNITY

  • We know there are some who hunger for more and are ready to take steps of commitment to these practices.

This May, we are introducing Covenant Community, a year-long devoted cohort made up of individuals ready to commit themselves wholly to participation in this shared Rule.
