Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church around the bread and cup, to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. We also gather in similar age groups and stages of life to grow together.

Communities are the primary way that we scatter during the week to be the people of Jesus in our city. In communities, we are practicing the way of Jesus, together, in Portland and we invite you to start or join a community in your neighborhood of the city.

  • Women’s Night of Prayer

    Gather with the women of Bridgetown for the annual Women’s Night of Prayer. Together we will spend the evening praying, worshiping, connecting with one another, and creating space for hear from the Spirit. Snacks and coffee provided.

  • High School: Sky High Night

    We are headed to Sky High for a fun and energizing night of jumping around and playing dodgeball. All participants are required to sign a waiver in advance.

  • 423 Wives

    423 Wives exists to help women find themselves in the midst of a sexual betrayal or sexual addiction by their significant other. We are currently organizing our next group. Contact us confidentially to learn more or to meet with a 423 Wives leader.

  • Neighborhood Happy Hours

    Come out for an evening of good food, local beer, and great company. Neighborhood Happy Hour is a great place to get to know people that share your corner of the city; Northwest, Northeast, Southeast, & Southwest. Lucky Lab is kid friendly and pet friendly, so bring the whole family.

  • Bridgetown Community Leader Training

    If you are interested in leading a Bridgetown Community, the first step is to participate in the Bridgetown Community Leader Training. This Training is an opportunity for current and aspiring leaders to learn what it means to lead a Bridgetown Community and to be equipped to lead. In this three-week course, we will define the role of a Community Leader and provide you with practical training and skillsets to lead a Bridgetown Community well.

    Dates: Mar 4, 11, & 18

  • God & Money Class

    How we steward our money is directly related to our discipleship to Jesus. God & Money teaches us the practicality of stewarding our resources through budgeting, spending, and handling the complexities of finances.

    Dates: Mar 11 & 18

  • Young Adults: Young Professional Speaker Series

    Come and learn from wise and experienced people in our church about how we as young adults are seeking to become workplace missionaries to see the kingdom come in all business. We get together to hear from someone who has been a missionary through their career, and to ask questions and network with the other young professionals of Bridgetown.

  • Royal Family Kids Camp

    Royal Family Kids Camp is a camp for kids in foster care. For most of these children, it’s the best week of their year, a time where they can focus on having fun and just being a kid. We firmly believe that this one week—full of God encounters, surprises, and laughter—will change their lives, and give them hope and freedom. We need 80 volunteers to put on this camp.

  • August Nicaragua Mission Trip

    Travel this August to La Villa Esperanza, a long-term safe home for girls from high-risk, high-poverty situations, in Managua, Nicaragua. You will work closely with girls in need of friendship and support. There will also be labor projects outside of Villa Esperanza to bless the community.

    Dates: Aug 8 – 18

  • Young Adults: Top Golf

    Come and join us for some Top Golf fun! Cost will be in the 15.00-20.00 range. We will be meet up at Top Golf, and eat, and golf for an hour and a half.

  • Bridgetown Basics

    Three times a year (fall, winter, and spring) Bridgetown Church hosts our Basics course. Basics is designed to introduce you to Bridgetown Church. Part one takes place on two consecutive Sundays and introduces people to Bridgetown’s history, culture, and the nuts and bolts of Bridgetown Communities. Part two takes place on two consecutive Wednesday nights to learn hands-on what it looks like to be part of a Community.

  • Bridgetown Women’s Retreat

    We are excited to introduce Bridgetown’s first women’s retreat. Save the date for an amazing time together at Rockaway Beach on the Oregon Coast. We will have opportunities for women to connect, learn from one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. More details coming soon.

  • Holy Spirit Conference 2018

    We are excited to announce our second annual Holy Spirit Conference. Learning to hear the Holy Spirit speak and knowing how to respond is a life-long commitment. Since last year’s conference, we have seen significant works of the Spirit in our church gatherings and among communities. Now we want to see that work continue. Everyone is invited, from all across the city, to gather together as we experience the work of the Holy Spirit.

  • Bridgetown Men’s Retreat

    Bridgetown and Van City men are invited this spring to the 2018 Men’s Retreat. Save the date for an amazing time together at Camp Crestview in the Columbia Gorge. This will be a time to gather, learn from and pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. Space is limited. More details coming soon.

  • Kids Pizza Party

    We want to reward our kids for modeling character traits of Jesus in our time with them on Sundays. Rather than rewarding individuals for individual behavior, we reward the entire class for good classroom behavior! Once a quarter we have a party with our Kids Leaders where we watch a movie, eat pizza and ice cream, and play games! These events are free and will hopefully provide time for you and your spouse to get dinner or enjoy quiet time at home! These events are open to all kids in Grades K – 5.

  • High School Summer Trip

    We will be heading to the coast this year, and we hoping for a time of fun, encountering God together, and growing as a Bridgetown Youth Family. Register soon as spots are limited.

  • Newberg Church Plant

    We are excited to announce a new church plant in Newberg, OR. After years of planning and praying, Alex and Emily Rettmann have decided to make this vision a reality. They hope to see Newberg and the entire Willamette Valley known a place of God’s presence moving, and lives transformed by the work of Jesus.
