Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church around the bread and cup, to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit. We also gather in similar age groups and stages of life to grow together.

Communities are the primary way that we scatter during the week to be the people of Jesus in our city. In communities, we are practicing the way of Jesus, together, in Portland. We also scatter throughout the world to plant churches and partner in justice work.

  • Community Leaders Meeting

    Whether you’ve been leading for years or your Community started just this week, we ask that all leaders attend these valuable monthly meetings. While attendance is required for current leaders, these times are open to anyone who would like to join in and learn more about leading a community with Bridgetown.

  • Serve: Kids Leaders Needed

    Bridgetown Kids is fueled by the efforts of our amazing volunteer leaders and we need 10-15 new kids leaders to help keep up with our growing number of kids. If you are interested in serving kids at Bridgetown, we would love to have you. All kids leaders must pass a background check.

  • Easter Sunday

    We want to live in the place where heaven and earth meet, where mankind finds itself every day. Inspired by glimpses of glory, we wade through the difficulties because we have a promise in the future. Gather with us this Easter at our normal times and locations as we worship together, explore the story of Jesus, and celebrate the defeat of death.

  • Bridgetown Community Leader Introduction

    Bridgetown Communities are the primary way that we scatter during the week to be the people of Jesus in our city. As new communities form, we are in need of new leaders. Attend our Bridgetown Community Leader Introduction if you are interested in leading a community. Come meet church leaders and learn about the qualities and commitments that the role requires.

  • Holy Spirit Conference

    We are excited to announce our first annual Holy Spirit Conference. Gather with us for a weekend of worship, teachings from guest speakers, and time to hear from the Spirit. We will create space to wait on God, hear what he wants to say, learn what he wants to do, then put it into practice.

  • Alpha: A Dialogue About Existence

    Bridgetown Church is hosting Alpha, an open and informal dialogue about existence, the person of Jesus, and what it all means. We want to hear your thoughts and questions as we explore these themes together without the pressured atmosphere that usually comes with these conversations. Each week, after a meal together, we will have a short talk and discussion groups in which you can share your thoughts and ask questions.

  • 423 Men

    Bridgetown wants to help men break the addictive cycle of sexual sin. Private groups of men gather weekly to honestly discuss sexuality and pray for purity. Hundreds of men have found freedom in these groups. Register confidentially to be placed in a group that will meet on Thursday evenings.

  • Bridgetown Basics

    Basics is designed to introduce you to the way Bridgetown steps into its unique place within the family of God. Part one of Basics takes place on two consecutive Sundays and introduces people to Bridgetown’s history, culture, and the nuts and bolts of Bridgetown Communities. Part two of Basics takes place on two consecutive Wednesday nights to learn hands-on what it looks like to be part of a Bridgetown Community.

  • August Nicaragua Trip

    Travel this August to La Villa Esperanza, a long-term safe home for girls from high-risk, high-poverty situations, in Managua, Nicaragua. You will work closely with girls in need of friendship and support. There will also be labor projects outside of Villa Esperanza to bless the community.

  • Young Adult: Young Professional Speaker Series

    If you are a young professional, just out of college or entering a career, attend a discussion with other young professionals at Bridgetown to hear from professionals who have advanced in their careers and learned how to combine the way of Jesus with their work.
