Christmas Giving
Campaign 2023

This Christmas season we’re excited to invite you to participate in our third annual Christmas Giving Campaign. This year, our focus for radical generosity is intended to serve the emerging generation in three specific ways: Bridgetown Kids, Bridgetown Youth, and the launch of a pastoral fellowship program. Every cent given will go directly to these three areas. This is an invitation to give—and to give above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings. In a season infamous for consumerism and indulgence, can we, as followers of Jesus, swim against the current and sow seeds of Kingdom generosity?

$500,000

Our goal of $500,000 would allow us to move forward with these dreams, in addition to completing our big renovation project downstairs. We hope you will join us. The fund will remain open through December 31.

We have raised
$315,022 out of $500,000

Bridgetown Kids

We are seeing a growing number of children get to participate in the classroom experience at Bridgetown Kids. Our desire is to see the youngest in our church family grow through both welcoming spaces and discipleship experiences. The work of expanding the gathering space for kids has already begun, but we want to continue to make existing classroom areas safe, comfortable, and hospitable. One of the specific ways we plan to do this is by bringing heat and A/C to the current kids’ classrooms.

Beyond the Sunday classroom experience, we also want to double the number of kids we’re able to take to summer camp next year and continue to grow our Bridgetown Family Camp. We hope to be able to offer more scholarship opportunities for camp events and create space for all kids to encounter God in community.

Bridgetown Youth

In the past year, the number of Middle Schoolers at Bridgetown Youth has increased by 50%. Building on this momentum is the launching of a weekly All Youth Gathering at the Bridgetown Justice & Mercy Center, located in southeast Portland, on Wednesday nights beginning in January. We hope to bring improvements to our meeting space and install much-needed technical equipment to help bring excellence to these weekly gatherings. There are also plans to grow youth leadership, including the launch of a new Student Leaders Team.

Pastoral Fellowship Program

Bridgetown Church has a desire to train the future leaders of the church through a new Pastoral Fellow Program. This program will be designed to make space for college students and young adults pursuing a pastoral calling to be able to work and learn alongside our staff. During their time in this paid fellowship, they will be able to work across a variety of our teams and experience different serving contexts. They will be paired with a staff mentor and receive leadership training and personal development from a number of different pastors on our team.
